I was inspired by my teacher, Steven Reddy, who had taught his style of urban sketching that morning, and set us loose to try it for ourselves. I found the scene that I wanted to sketch, settled myself on my small stool in a corner across the walkway and began to sketch. It would not be an exaggeration to say a hundred or more people crossed in front of me while I was sketching. It was a fun challenge to capture the details in the midst of all the hustle and bustle that day.
